Make sure it's a recent photo of you, and that your face takes up most of the space. Wear something you'd wear to work, It's the first thing people see, so make it count!

💡 Use your headline to showcase your expertise.

Your headline should be more than just your job title. Use it to say why you do what you do and what makes you special. Look at what others in your field are doing for ideas.

📝 Turn your summary into your story.

Your summary is your chance to tell your story. Don't just list your skills but explain why they matter and how you can help others. Take your time and get it right.

🚫 Avoid overused buzzwords and focus on demonstrating your skills and experience.

Try to avoid using too many buzzwords like "expert" or "creative." Instead, show how you have these qualities through your words and actions.

🏅 List your most relevant skills and encourage endorsements from your connections.

Make sure to list your most important skills on your profile. It backs up what you say about yourself and lets others endorse you.

👏 Give endorsements to others who deserve them to build goodwill and credibility.

Speaking of endorsements, give them to others who deserve it. It might encourage them to do the same for you. But focus on the skills that really matter for you.

Request recommendations from people who can speak to your abilities and character.

Recommendations take things a step further. They are like personal reviews of what it's like to work with you. Don't be shy about asking for them from people you value.

This will soon be compulsory but for now it is worth doing, as it lets you access features that otherwise aren’t available

🎓 Showcase additional learning by adding certificates from LinkedIn Learning courses.

Showing that you love to learn is a great way to show your passion. If you complete a course on LinkedIn Learning, add the certificate to your profile.

🛠️ Use LinkedIn Service Pages to showcase your offerings and attract new clients.

If you offer services, you can create a special page on LinkedIn to showcase them. It's a great way to promote your business for free.

📅 Keep your profile up-to-date with your latest experiences, skills, and achievements.

Your profile is an organic document, and you should aim to keep it up to date, with additional experiences and skills that your gain

📈 Regularly analyze your profile views and engagement.
